Do you track your steps with a Fitbit? Journal what you eat every day? Keep track of how many hours you sleep with an app? Wonder why people track themselves at all? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then come check out our April 25 event “Discovering the Quantified Self.”
The Quantified Self is used to describe people who use data to improve their lives. There are hundreds of connected gadgets and countless apps to help people track their habits, learn things about themselves and improve their health. The Santa Barbara Foundation is engaging in the movement by teaming up with Atlas of Caregiving to explore how Quantified Self ideas can help family caregivers – those caring for family or friends who need assistance because of illness, disability, or aging – in Santa Barbara County. And we want to hear from you!
Join us at 5:30 pm on April 25 at the Impact Hub to discover Quantified Self for the first time, meet experts in the field and share your own self-tracking methods to improve your life. We welcome dialogue and conversation during the event and are looking forward to sharing how self-tracking can help change your life.
