Why would a caregiver of two and a caree/caregiver decide to turn their perfectly quite, no hassles home into a Red Flag (mock battle) war zone and if you don’t believe me, take a look at the photos that follow.
Not two weeks ago this was organization personified, a place for everything and everything in its place and now Robert who has been amazing throughout all of this has been doing great. Heck, for some reason we even started him on a new anti-seizure medicine only a week prior to kicking off our BYOB (Bring Your Own Board) re-paint, new carpet and base boards party. Everyone’s invited just bring a piece of 5-1/4″ base board, caulk, nails and tools to install and come on over. I’m starting to think that the attitude change we’ve seen in Robert is only partial to do with the medication change and more to do with the home chaos, even though it does not look that bad, we have in fact changed our eating habits by eating out more, weekend routines have changed, his transport van schedule was even adjusted due to the number of riders.
We did extend the trial period of his new seizure med to see if his system would adjust, I’m now thinking we need to extend it some more or at least until a few weeks after the construction here. I am interested in hearing what you my extended family have to think about this?
