Each year myself and Trish (my wife) have a tradition of hiding cards for each other around the house, in each others cars, even out in the mailbox. One place I don’t think either of us has ever hidden a card is in the freezer next to Roberts Rocky Road Ice Cream and when you think of caregiving and cards this one fits perfectly. Here’s the rundown,
Happy Valentine’s Day
to My Husband
We have a romance
that’s sweet, silly,
sometimes different,
and always exactly
what we need.
We have a real connection
that becomes stronger
with every problem
we solve together
and every success
we celebrate.
We know each other,
we trust each other,
and we love each other –
and that’s why
sharing life with you
makes every day
mean so much more.
(Here was her message to me, so I’ll keep it that way.)
Feel free to share the cards thoughts and meaning with your caregiving spouse or significant other. I hope you see the caregiving relationship in the card as I did. In fact, I have started a line of cards called, “Cards for Caregivers and their Carees.” If you have an idea for a card that meets this need, send me an email with what your saying is, I’ll get a background to go along with it and once I can get it published there will be a royalty fee which I send to you via check or via the “Cube” payment method. I look forward to seeing what thoughts and saying we as a group 65.7 million strong, yes I said “million.”
I look forward to hearing from you all in the near future. My email address is,
