This is a bit late and I apologize, took mom to Travis AFB (2 hr. drive each way) then was feeling under the weather.  As of today we are now 10 days away from the walk.  I am keeping up my end and walking daily, OK everyother day min. to get ready for a walk that would normally take me an entire afternoon and am going to do it as fast as possible on race day.  When I started this I knew my back injury keeps me from getting up into an aerobic stage so weight loss has been lost on me you could say.  On top of the added walks, I still do the stuff around the house, work in the yard and garden and much more.  In the past month since I started my training walks I have been able to lost all of six pounds Scale Photo and can actually walk just about a quarter mile before have to take a break and stretch out my back.  Walking a mile, around our Kaiser and the surrounding dirt lot is exactly one mile.  When I started this it was taking me between 22-26 minutes to walk, this past Tuesday, it only took 17 minutes, improvements are happening but at a slow rate.  The walk is going to take a bit of time and a few stretch/sit breaks but I will finish it.

If you are interested in sponsoring me and Team Steve, just go to the link below and enter myself as the walker you sponsoring and it will take you to the right page.  I would like to thank everyone who has donated so far and to those who will and even those who take the time to read this post,  Thank you.  If you could, please forward this post on to your friend and family as you never know when someones is able to lend a helping hand.
